A Huge Success!
The week of March 12-18, 2018 was World Glaucoma Week, a worldwide initiative that aims to generate awareness about Glaucoma, its causes, consequences and proper management. With the support of The World Glaucoma Association and with the collaboration of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the Beirut Eye & ENT Specialist Hospital (BESH) ran an awareness campaign for Glaucoma in Lebanon. Our sponsor for this event was Allergan, and their support was instrumental in making this project a success.
‘Save your sight’ was the campaign’s slogan, and the scope of the campaign extended to all platforms such as radio stations, magazine press releases and social media. During this week BESH provided Free Glaucoma screenings to over 600 patients at City Mall Dora, in addition to providing key information about this prevalent disease.
